A Proper Golf Grip Will Improve Your Overall Golf Swing!

Let me explain:

It's called the Coin Drill:

This proper golf grip drill is to ensure that you maintain the proper grip pressure and that the hands do not separate during the swing.

The left hand:

Place a coin (dime) on the heel pad of your hand as shown by the arrow.
Take your normal grip with both hands. Swing the club making sure that the coin does not drop.

Dropping the Coin!!!

If the coin does drop, this indicates that your grip is loosening during the swing.

Make sure you maintain the same grip pressure as at address and the coin will stay in place throughout the swing.

The right hand:

To insure the right hand maintains the proper grip, place a coin on the thumb of your left hand. It should be covered and held in place by the heel pad of the right hand.

Dropping the Coin!!!

If the coin does drop, this indicates that your grip is loosening during the swing.

Again make sure you maintain the same grip pressure as at address and the coin will stay in place throughout the swing.

Good Golfing!
